"We couldn’t happier with our extension. We weren’t sure exactly what we wanted but the design evolved as a result of numerous useful meetings. The work has been done to a high standard and all members of the team, from planning to finishing touches, were professional, considerate and friendly. Any queries or requests along the way have been dealt with efficiently and with an open mind. As well as the Orangery, Aurora were able to offer a range of other building, plumbing and electrical services. They may not be the cheapest option but we would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting high quality workmanship and customer service."

"Our conservatory was originally built in 2008 and after 17 years needed a refurbishment triggered by some water ingress we were getting in one of the corners. We reached out to Aurora who recommended new box guttering and replacement glass on the roof which is higher performance than the original glass plus exterior painting and decorating. The water ingress has now completely stopped, we're also getting the benefits of the new glass in terms of temperature regulation and the exterior now looks really smart. Andrew Smith looked after us really well throughput and the installation team led by Paul Newell did a great job, including coming back to fix a few small issues after the job was completed. The customer experience and after sales care we received has been really good. We've got no complaints at all with the quality of the work and the overall customer experience has also been really good. To be fair, the price was not cheap, but the quality is excellent and the work is guaranteed for 5 years (and 10 years on the new glass) so overall we are very happy."

"We had a 25 year+ timber conservatory which was beginning to show its age. Not surprisingly it was too hot in summer and particularly cold in winter. It was however still in good structural condition. It was also architecturally pleasing in our view so any replacement should look almost identical - but we could do with it being about 1.5m longer. The original company had given up making Conservatories, and were now concentrating on house building. We then spent the next 6 months or so searching for a suitable contractor and at least 4 companies from throughout England visited site and subsequently provided quotations. In each case we were offered what they wanted to sell us - not what we wanted! The most expensive one looked more like a greenhouse than a Conservatory! An architect acquaintance then suggested we tried Aurora, who were situated about 5 miles away in Naburn. Never having heard of Aurora, and not seeing them advertised anywhere, we were a little apprehensive to start with but we certainly need not have been. After an initial meeting with Andrew, and a site visit, outline proposals were submitted and these were exactly what we wanted. Our specification was followed to the letter. Quotations were produced and with very few amendments a contract was signed. From then on progress was steady and site construction started on the planned date, and despite the winter weather, and the Christmas holidays, substantial completion would have been completed on-time. A 2-3 week delay was caused by another contractor who was due to move in to lay the pvc flooring. At the 11th hour this local Contractor, despite having had sight of the drawings for at least 6 weeks suddenly altered his specification and then 2 days later withdrew. Aurora then offered to undertake the laying of the floor tiles and a variation to the contract was negotiated. I have nothing but praise for the way the sitework was undertaken under the guidance of their Site Manager Paul. Aurora are certainly very lucky to have such a skilled and dedicated workforce. As for the finished product. Almost perfect and just what, and as, we wanted it. The standard of all materials used was nothing but first class. I would have no hesitation whatever in recommending Aurora for providing timber framed buildings of any sort!"

Andrew really listened to our concerns and came up with realistic suggestions and alternatives, offering some beautiful, well thought through options. Ultimately we decided to go with a brick building rather than a conservatory as we were able to get planning permission for an extension on our city centre Victorian terrace. "We had an aging conservatory with a leaking roof, with the typical too hot/too cold/too wet issues so we contacted some conservatory companies to get quotes for replacing it. After speaking with several companies, it soon became clear that team at Aurora's attention to detail, quality of design and customer service was far above any of the others. There were lots of design improvements suggested along the way by Andrew and the Aurora team which took it from being a conservatory to being more of an extension whilst staying within our budget. The design experience was excellent and we felt very supported going through some necessary planning steps too. Once they arrived on site the building and joinery teams were very professional and tidy. They were really efficient, considerate and their work was excellent! Over a 7 week build there were only maybe 2 days when someone wasn't on site (and that was our fault!). We've had builders in before and this was a much better experience, their level of organisation and planning was exceptional. They arranged everything from initial design, planning, drawings, demolition, ground works, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering, and they would have decorated if we'd asked them to! "The conservatory I inherited on moving was an Aurora so when it started to leak I asked them to come and reroof it. It was the best idea and I am thrilled with the results. Paul and the guys worked under atrocious conditions as it started to rain the moment they removed the first pane of glass and there were six! Not daunted they soldiered on and finished the replacements by the end of the day, however they and the conservatory were soaking. By the end of the week all was finished and my new roof looked and does look amazing, gone are the old blinds and opening windows all now is bright and light and the roof is self cleaning. All mess was cleared up and removed and you would never have know that anything as messy as the beginning of the week had occurred, brilliant. Five star and very well deserved, thank you. Jill"

"Aurora built our new oak framed orangery. Andrew the designer was fantastic, especially tolerant when we kept changing the designs. The team turned up on time and were efficient, tidy and friendly. Despite a leak in the roof they worked tirelessly to sort it out and kept in contact until it was sorted. The structure looks modern and has clearly been built to high specifications. My only criticism would be the extremely keen secretary who sent out the final bill 3 times before the build had been finished.
